Alternative loop under the gondola

A steeper, single-track trail for intermediate hikers that takes you under the gondola through open old-growth forest, and across moss-covered granite bluffs. The trail connects with the Upper Sea to Summit trail for the hike back up to the Summit Lodge.

Drop down into Sparky's Spin and explore the route that our lift manufacturer, Doppelmayr, travelled to access tower locations during the construction of the gondola. Enjoy a moderate downhill hike through the forest with mountain views as well as peek-a-boo views of Howe Sound. The trail continues downhill under the gondola until the trail connects with the Upper Sea to Summit trail. Then, for the last 700 metres, hike uphill to return to the Summit Lodge.
