Terms and Conditions
GROUP EVENTS TICKETS ONLY
These Terms & Conditions outline the policies, requirements, and responsibilities for hosting an event at the Sea to Sky Gondola. By booking an event, you agree to comply with the following terms.
DEFINITIONS:
Client – the person or party booking, organizing, and/or paying for the event, including their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors, subcontractors, successors and assigns.
Premises – the property, facilities, and all areas made available by Sea to Sky Gondola to the Client for the purposes of an event, including but not limited to any buildings, rooms, outdoor spaces, parking areas, and gondolas, together with all access routes reasonably necessary for use of such areas.
Sea to Sky Gondola – Sea to Sky Gondola Limited Partnership and its respective directors, officers, employees, instructors, guides, agents, representatives, volunteers, independent contractors, subcontractors, successors and assigns.
1. BOOKINGS & EVENT HOURS
a) Advance Booking: Activities must be booked at least two (2) weeks in advance and are subject to weather and operational conditions.
b) Guest Numbers: Final guest numbers must be provided 48 hours from the event date.
c) Operating Hours: On [event date], the Sea to Sky Gondola operates from [date dependent] and remains open to the public. Daily hours of operation are subject to change.
d) Guests must download via gondola by closing time.
2. GONDOLA TICKETS
a) Group Discounts: Groups of 15 or more receive a 20% discount off the online anyday rate for gondola tickets.
b) Gondola tickets are valid for one round-trip on the Sea to Sky Gondola (excluding Download Only tickets).
c) Children under the age of 6 years are free of charge and will be provided with a complimentary ticket.
3. PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
a) In signing this agreement, the Client acknowledges they have received and read the Sea to Sky Gondola Transportation & Recommendations for Group Events document.
b) Parking can be limited, and we encourage you to organize a shuttle service for your guests (Please see the “Preferred Vendors” list on our website).
c) If Client's invited guests plan to arrive in private vehicles, parking is first come, first served and pay parking is in effect. Guests can pay for parking on arrival on the Pay-By-Phone app or in Guest Services.
d) Vehicles may stay parked overnight with pick-up before 10AM the following morning.

4. PROHIBITED ITEMS & ACTIVITES
a) Drones and drone photography are strictly prohibited.
b) The Sea to Sky Gondola, Summit Lodge, and surrounding areas are entirely smoke- and vape-free.
5. PAYMENT TERMS
a) Payments are due in full a minimum 48 hours in advance of arrival date.
b) Unused lift tickets are eligible for refund if they have not been scanned.
c) Sea to Sky Gondola is a cashless facility and is therefore not able to accept cash payments.
6. CANCELLATION POLICY
a) In the event of cancellation in full or in part, ticket only orders are eligible for cancellation up to and including the date of arrival.
7. TAXES & SERVICE CHARGES
a) 5% GST applies to gondola tickets, food, beverages, services, gratuities, service charges and venue rentals.
b) 7% Provincial Sales Tax on applicable purchases and equipment rentals.
c) 10% Provincial Liquor Tax applies to alcoholic beverages.
d) 18% gratuity applies to all food & beverage services (before tax).
e) Taxes and service fees are subject to change.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
a) No Party shall be deemed in default or liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement if such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, war, invasion, insurrection, riot, fire, earthquake, explosion, equipment or machinery breakdown or malfunction, or other similar events.
b) The affected Party shall promptly notify the other Party of the force majeure event, use commercially reasonable efforts to mitigate its impact, and resume performance as soon as practicable.
c) Suspension of obligations shall be limited to the duration of the force majeure event.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
a) The Client shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sea to Sky Gondola, its directors, officers, employees, instructors, guides, agents, representatives, volunteers, independent contractors, subcontractors, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
b) Any breach this Agreement by the Client; or
c) Any negligence or willful misconduct of the Client or its employees, agents, or subcontractors.
d) This indemnification obligation shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.
10. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
a) In consideration of Sea to Sky Gondola allowing the Client to hold the event at the Premises, the Client agrees to waive any and all claims it may have or may have in the future against Sea to Sky Gondola from any liability for any loss, damage, expense, or injury due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or other duty of care.
11. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
a) Sea to Sky Gondola reserves the right to monitor event activities to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and our stated policies. Should any violations be identified, Sea to Sky Gondola retains the discretion to suspend or terminate services immediately, without prior notice, to uphold the quality and safety of Sea to Sky Gondola operations.
b) The Client remains solely responsible for all costs associated with the event.
c) Sea to Sky Gondola is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to goods, property, or equipment.
d) The Client assumes full responsibility for any damages caused by its guests or invitees.
e) Costs for damages may be deducted from the deposit and/or included in the final invoice.
f) All policies & pricing are subject to change.
g) This Agreement and any rights, duties, obligations as between the parties shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of British Columbia and no other jurisdiction; and
h) Any litigation involving the parties to this Agreement shall be brought solely within British Columbia and shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of British Columbia.
GROUP EVENTS WITH TICKETS AND GUIDED TOURS

5. PAYMENT TERMS
a) Payments are due in full a minimum 72 hours in advance of arrival date.
b) Sea to Sky Gondola is a cashless facility and is therefore not able to accept cash payments.
6. CANCELLATION POLICY
a) Client is eligible for a full or partial refund on orders if made at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled arrival date.
b) For any order altered or cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled arrival date, unused tickets may be refunded if they have not been scanned. Guided hike and interpretive tour fees are non-refundable.
7. TAXES & SERVICE CHARGES
a) 5% GST applies to gondola tickets, food, beverages, services, gratuities, service charges and venue rentals.
b) 7% Provincial Sales Tax on applicable purchases and equipment rentals.
c) 10% Provincial Liquor Tax applies to alcoholic beverages.
d) 18% gratuity applies to all food & beverage services (before tax).
e) Taxes and service fees are subject to change.

GROUP EVENTS WITH CATERING
These Terms & Conditions outline the policies, requirements, and responsibilities for hosting an event at the Sea to Sky Gondola. By booking an event, you agree to comply with the following terms. DEFINITIONS:
Client – the person or party booking, organizing, and/or paying for the event, including their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors, subcontractors, successors and assigns.
Premises – the property, facilities, and all areas made available by Sea to Sky Gondola to the Client for the purposes of an event, including but not limited to any buildings, rooms, outdoor spaces, parking areas, and gondolas, together with all access routes reasonably necessary for use of such areas.
Sea to Sky Gondola – Sea to Sky Gondola Limited Partnership and its respective directors, officers, employees, instructors, guides, agents, representatives, volunteers, independent contractors, subcontractors, successors and assigns.

b) Guest Numbers: Final guest numbers must be provided 72 hours from the event date and will be considered guaranteed.
c) Operating Hours: On [event date], the Sea to Sky Gondola operates from [date dependent] and remains open to the public. Daily hours of operation are subject to change.
d) Extended Hours: Events outside these hours will incur a facility rental fee of $500 per hour, which includes lift attendants, medical, and security personnel.
e) Guests must download via gondola by closing time.
f )Event planners and vendors have one (1) additional hour for tear-down.

4. SHIPPING & STORAGE
a) Deliveries can only be accepted the day of the event.
b) Deliveries occupying more than 2 gondola cabins must arrive at the Sea to Sky Gondola Base between 7 am and 8 am on the day of the event to be uploaded prior to opening to the public.
c) Items that exceed the size of a regular gondola cabin may be transported via the work carrier at $500 per load (prior approval required).
d) All décor, rentals, and event equipment must be removed at the end of the event.
5. DÉCOR GUIDELINES
a) The Client or the Client’s event planner must consult with Sea to Sky Gondola staff regarding permitted decorations, including what is and is not permitted on walls and wooden beams.
b) Any décor requiring ladders, suspension, or installation on beams/ceilings must be installed by Sea to Sky Gondola staff and will be charged to the Client at a rate of $130 per hour.
c) Lost or forgotten décor must be claimed by the Client or a designate of the Client within 72 hours after the event.
d) Sea to Sky Gondola is not responsible for any items left unclaimed after five (5) days.
6. AUDIO-VISUAL (AV) EQUIPMENT
a) Sea to Sky Gondola staff will set up equipment rented from Sea to Sky Gondola.
b) Clients are responsible for installing their own AV equipment.
7. MENU SELECTION & PRICING
a) Final menu selections must be confirmed 30 days before the event. Please ensure any special dietary requirements for invited guests and vendors are declared at this time to ensure Sea to Sky Gondola can source all menu items.
b) If a menu is not selected, the Sea to Sky Gondola will choose a menu that meets the required minimum spend.
c) Catering minimums do not include applicable taxes or gratuities.
d) Outside food and beverage are not permitted.
e) Packing up of leftovers is not permitted.
f) Menu pricing is subject to change, with final pricing confirmed 30 days before the event.
8. FOOD ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
a) The Sea to Sky Gondola is not a nut-free facility.
b) While Sea to Sky Gondola will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs, the Client must notify Sea to Sky Gondola in writing, in advance, of any food allergies or dietary restrictions, including the names of affected guests.
c) If such written notice is not provided, the Client agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sea to Sky Gondola Limited Partnership and its affiliates, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from or related to the consumption of food or beverages provided.
d) Ingredient details for menu items are available upon request.
9. ALCOHOL SERVICE
a) Outside alcohol is not permitted.
b) Alcohol consumption is only permitted in licensed areas of the Summit Lodge, Diamond Head Deck, Sky Pilot Deck and Octagon Deck.
c) Alcohol service will conclude 30 minutes before the end of the event.
10. CORKAGE POLICY
a) Sea to Sky Gondola offers corkage on commercially prepared wine. Please consult with a representative of Sea to Sky Gondola for full details including the corkage fee.

12. DEPOSIT & PAYMENT PLAN
a) 20% non-refundable deposit based on estimated event cost due upon signing this agreement.
b) 50% of estimated costs due six (6) months before the event.
c) Final balance due 30 days before the event.
d) Final invoice sent within 72 hours post-event, with payment due within seven (7) days.
e) Late payments incur a 2.5% weekly interest charge.
f) Sea to Sky Gondola is a cashless facility and is therefore not able to accept cash payments.
13. TAXES & SERVICE CHARGES
a) 5% GST applies to gondola tickets, food, beverages, services, gratuities, service charges and venue rentals.
b) 7% Provincial Sales Tax on applicable purchases and equipment rentals.
c) 10% Provincial Liquor Tax applies to alcoholic beverages.
d) 18% gratuity applies to all food & beverage services (before tax).
e) Taxes and service fees are subject to change.
14. CANCELLATION POLICY
a) The initial deposit of 20% is non-refundable.
b) Events cancelled within 180 – 30 days of the event, 70% of the estimated cost is non-refundable.
c) Events cancelled within 30 days of the event, 100% of estimated costs will be charged.
15. FORCE MAJEURE
a) No Party shall be deemed in default or liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement if such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, war, invasion, insurrection, riot, fire, earthquake, explosion, equipment or machinery breakdown or malfunction, or other similar events.
