SPIRIT TRAIL

Distance: 400 metres

Seasonality: Year-Round

This trail takes you on a cultural journey through the history of the land and First Nations people. The wide, easy trail offers breathtaking views of Atl’ka7tsem/ Howe Sound, and Goat Ridge. The Spirit Trail can be accessed in two ways, from the Backyard Plaza, and from the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. Stroller accessible.


PANORAMA TRAIL
Difficulty:
Beginner
Duration: 30-60 minutes
Distance: 1.3km
Elevation Gain: 30 m
Seasonality: Year-Round

This 1.3km loop takes you through coastal forest, Alaskan blueberry bushes, and granite outcroppings. Viewpoints with handcrafted cedar benches dot the trail for rest with a view. The Panorama Loop has an easy elevation grade of approximately 8-10%, allowing most people of all ages and fitness levels to complete it in under an hour. Halfway through the trail is the Chief Overlook Viewing Platform: a cantilevered deck that juts out over a sheer drop and offers majestic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains.


ALPINE ALLEY

An awesome alpine adventure to summit Bodhi’s Boulder! Along the way you will travel through the homes of seven alpine animals, discovering a climbling wall, a tunnel, a slide, a bear den and 2 Via Ferrata ladders! Explore this kid-approved trail at your own pace. Open as conditions permit.


WONDERLAND LAKE LOOP

Distance: 1.6km return
Elevation Gain: 40 m
Seasonality: Year-Round
A trail of breathtaking views and a boardwalk around Wonderland Lake. The trail meanders along granite rock bluffs, open meadows and vibrant coastal forest. Several viewpoints are scattered along the trail offering great views of the Summit Lodge, Sky Pilot and Co-Pilot Mountains as well as Goat Ridge. Wonderland Lake is a small lake dotted with lily pads and surrounded by wildflowers and Alaskan Blueberry. The Wonderland Lake Loop provides a real glimpse into the rich flora and fauna of the local ecosystem.


SPARKY'S SPIN

Duration: 1-2 hours
Distance: 2.0 km
Elevation Gain: 140 m
Seasonality: Summer

Drop down into Sparky’s Spin and explore the route that our lift manufacturer, Doppelmayr, travelled to access tower locations during the construction of the gondola. This is a steeper, single-track trail for intermediate hikers. Enjoy a moderate downhill hike through the forest with views of Sky Pilot and Goat Ridge as well as peek-a-boo views of Howe Sound. The trail continues downhill under the gondola until the trail connects with the Upper Sea to Summit. Then, for the last kilometre, hike uphill to return to the Summit Lodge.


HIGHLINE TRAIL

The Highline Trail starts with a brief, steep ascent leading to sweeping 360-degree views of Mount Garibaldi, Mount Habrich, Sky Pilot, and Howe Sound.
