As a key member of our front-line team, the Retail Sales Associate creates exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service, strong product knowledge, and a welcoming store environment. Working within a dynamic and fun sales team, you’ll help achieve daily sales goals while ensuring every guest enjoys a positive and memorable visit to the Sea to Sky Gondola.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through friendly conversation, thoughtful questions, genuine compliments, and memorable farewells.
- Promote and support the organization’s sustainability efforts, helping reduce waste and energy use while engaging both guests and fellow employees.
- Demonstrate and explain product features, benefits, and usage to assist guests in making informed purchases.
- Answer questions about all Sea to Sky Gondola products, including trails, activities, and events.
- Receive new merchandise, conduct inventory counts, and restock sales floors as needed.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and inviting retail environment through regular housekeeping duties.
- Accurately operate the POS system, processing sales, returns, till closures, and deposits.
- Ensure all merchandise displays are fully stocked, visually appealing, and well maintained.
- Winter: Assist guests with snowshoe rentals, process payments, provide information on trails and winter safety, and support guests with fitting snowshoes, crampons, or overboots when required.
- Uphold our core value “safety starts with us” by complying with all health and safety regulations, participating in the Sea to Sky Gondola safety program, and reporting incidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Continue to support sustainability initiatives across daily operations.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Physically fit; able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Experience working with POS systems and managing cash and credit transactions.
- Enthusiasm for working within the Sea to Sky Corridor and sharing knowledge about the area.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check is required.
