As our Junior Sous Chef, you’ll take the lead in our production kitchen, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while jumping in to support service when needed. You’ll help maintain high standards, mentor junior cooks, and play a key role in the day‑to‑day success of our culinary operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the production kitchen to ensure efficient, consistent workflow
- Prepare, maintain, and verify accuracy of prep lists, production schedules, and par levels
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
- Assign and manage staff breaks in accordance with operational requirements and labour standards
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation
- Support service periods as required to ensure timely and seamless execution
- Ensure adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and culinary leadership team regarding operational needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Assist in implementing culinary standards, processes, and training initiatives
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of culinary experience, with exposure to high‑volume or production environments an asset
- Demonstrated interest in transitioning into a leadership role
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Positive, professional attitude with the ability to lead by example
- Solid understanding of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to coach and support junior team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing operational demands
