Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is a key member of the Human Resources team, providing support across all HR functions with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, and HR administration. This dynamic role is ideal for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow their Human Resources experience while making a meaningful impact on the team member experience.
As a part-time role, this position offers flexibility while providing meaningful exposure to a broad range of Human Resources functions. While the role offers flexibility in scheduling, regular Friday availability is required to support key HR activities and team member needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities including workforce planning, job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, job fairs, and exit interviews.
- Regularly meet with department managers to assess recruitment needs and support workforce planning.
- Coordinate and administer onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all documentation, system access, orientation requirements, and employee communications are completed accurately and on time.
- Organise and facilitate New Hire Orientation, including preparing materials, welcome packages, room bookings, and presentation content.
- Plan and support team member events, engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee experience activities.
- Maintain relationships with neighbouring resort employers to monitor labour market trends, recruitment practices, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate recruitment activities with external agencies and job boards to support hiring requirements.
- Maintain employee discount programs and ensure external vendor rosters are updated and accurate.
- Maintain employee files, HR records, and documentation while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support managers and team members with HR policies, procedures, and employment-related inquiries.
- Assist with benefits administration, employment documentation, employee leave tracking, and HR systems maintenance.
- Support HR reporting, audits, data entry, and record retention requirements.
- Coordinate employment-related documentation including offer letters, contract amendments, employment verification letters, and other HR correspondence.
- Support employee relations initiatives by responding to routine inquiries and escalating matters where appropriate.
- Support staff accommodation operations during peak recruitment, onboarding, and seasonal arrival periods.
- Create, publish, and maintain regular team member communications and announcements.
- Maintain and promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment standards.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within Human Resources.
Sustainability Responsibilities
- Supports organisational sustainability goals by incorporating environmentally responsible practices into daily work and minimising environmental impact.
- Identifies opportunities within their role to reduce waste, conserve resources, and enhance sustainable operations.
Digital Tools and AI Responsibilities
- Utilises Microsoft 365 tools (including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, and other authorised systems) and approved AI technologies to support collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency.
- Applies critical thinking and professional judgement when using AI-assisted tools, ensuring all outputs are reviewed, validated, and remain compliant with company policies, privacy requirements, and security standards.
- Exercises discretion when working with confidential or employee information and ensures sensitive or proprietary information is not entered into AI systems unless authorised and compliant with company policy.
- Remains accountable for the accuracy, appropriateness, and security of all work performed, regardless of the tools used.
General
- Performs other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Working knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment legislation, and general HR administration.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of Human Resources, recruitment, administrative, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and business information.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and other business software.
- Experience working with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, or employee databases is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and use approved digital and AI tools responsibly and effectively.
- Availability to work Fridays is required; occasional weekend or evening work may be required to support recruitment events, onboarding activities, or team member initiatives.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required.
- Must be legally authorised to work in Canada.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
