We’re looking for 2 Front of House Lead Hand's (1x Seasonal and 1x Year Round) to help oversee daily Summit Lodge operations, deliver exceptional guest service, and support the execution of weddings and events. Lodge Operations
- Prepare hot and cold beverages to order, including specialty coffees
- Serve café‑style meals and process transactions through the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing dishes, wiping counters, and supporting general upkeep of the dining area
- Open and close the Summit Lodge independently, ensuring all procedures are completed accurately
- Restock and rotate condiments, displays, and coolers to maintain appealing and well-presented products
- Follow recycling, composting, and sustainability procedures; support company sustainability initiatives
- Interact with guests in a friendly and engaging manner to enhance the overall experience
- Assist team members with POS troubleshooting and guest‑service challenges
- Manage the daily communications board and coordinate staff meal breaks to maintain smooth service flow
- Support the training and supervision of baristas and cashiers to ensure consistent service standards
- Contribute to team culture by promoting internal events, challenges, and morale‑boosting activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager or supervisory team
Catering and Events
- Support the Catering & Events Manager and Supervisor in executing weddings, ceremonies, and corporate events
- Serve as the on‑site point of contact for wedding planners, vendors, and event personnel
- Provide direct service during events, including greeting guests, serving, bussing, and bartending as required
- Assist in event setup, execution, and teardown, providing direction to event staff as needed
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and service standards throughout all stages of event operations
- Contribute to training and maintaining uniform and presentation standards for event team members
- Support the catering bartender with preparation, cocktail hour assistance, and wine service
Required Skills and Experience:
- Serving It Right certification (mandatory)
- Minimum age of 19 years to meet provincial service requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage positively with Guests
- Previous leadership experience in a food service or hospitality environment (asset)
- Ability to work independently while efficiently managing multiple tasks and guest orders
- Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems (asset)
- Food Safe Level 1 certification (asset)
- Strong problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to remain composed under pressure
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and fast‑paced work style in high‑volume situations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling cash and completing transactions
- Professional, mature, friendly, and well‑groomed presentation
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
