Our Summit Lodge provides a spectacular venue for weddings, meetings, corporate events, and parties. Our catering team members work as a cohesive unit to make every event, large and small, memorable for our guests. From setting up the venue to pouring wine and everything in between, this role is dynamic and fast paced and a great opportunity to gain serving skills.
Our bartenders create memorable guest experiences by handmaking speciality cocktails, pouring local draft beer and serving a full range of wine. This role offers the opportunity to work both indoors and outdoors, either overlooking the beautiful Howe sound or connecting with guests in the backyard. From our famous Mountain Music Series to our various catered events, this job demands high energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve drinks with high proficiency
Support sustainability goals to reduce waste and energy consumption and encourage employee and guest engagement
Provide direct service to guests as needed. Including greeting guests, serving tables, bussing tables, and seating guests
Interact with customers promoting Sea to Sky Gondola facilities and services
Promote sustainability through adherence to our recycling & composting procedures
Bar set up & tear down, clean up, inventory counts and reconciliation, & restocking products
Set up and/or tear down of each event as specified, as well as clean up after event
Perform other duties as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager and other team members as required
Required Skills and Experience:
Serving it Right certificate is mandatory
Must be at least 19 years of age
Previous bartending experience is mandatory
Two years of previous serving experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guest
Accurate and efficient handling of cash & credit card transactions and POS experience
Proven ability in managing time is critical; must be able to plan and execute effectively and efficiently while remaining calm under stressful situations
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of food and hot & cold beverages is an asset
Passion for people and the outdoors
Mature, friendly, and well-groomed
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
