Our Summit Lodge hosts unforgettable weddings, meetings, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds. As a Server, you’ll play a key role in bringing these events to life—welcoming guests, providing attentive and friendly service, pouring wine, delivering plated meals or buffets, and helping create seamless, memorable experiences. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages with a high level of proficiency and professionalism
- Support sustainability initiatives by reducing waste, conserving energy, and encouraging responsible practices among guests and team members
- Provide exceptional guest service, including greeting guests, serving and bussing tables, and assisting with seating as needed
- Engage with guests to promote Sea to Sky Gondola facilities, services, and offerings
- Follow all recycling and composting procedures to promote sustainable operations
- Perform full bar setup and teardown, including cleaning, inventory counts, reconciliation, and restocking products
- Assist with event setup and teardown according to event specifications, ensuring all spaces are clean, organized, and ready for guests
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager or other team members
- Work at least one shift per month.
Required Skills and Experience
- Serving It Right certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 19 years of age
- Previous bartending experience (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of serving experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Accurate and efficient handling of cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems
- Excellent time‑management skills; able to stay organized, work efficiently, and remain calm in high‑pressure or fast‑paced situations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of food and both hot and cold beverages (an asset)
- Passion for working with people and enthusiasm for the outdoors
- Mature, friendly, professional, and well‑groomed appearance
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly
- Criminal Record Check required
