Catering and Events Supervisor

Our Summit Lodge hosts unforgettable weddings, corporate gatherings, and private events. As a Catering & Events Supervisor, you’ll be the on‑the‑ground leader ensuring each event runs smoothly. Reporting to the Catering & Events Manager, you’ll guide the catering team, support service flow, jump in wherever needed, and help bring each event to life—no matter the size.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee event execution, ensuring everything runs seamlessly from start to finish
- Support sustainable event practices in collaboration with our Sustainability Director and Catering & Events Manager
- Communicate clearly with the Catering Chef and Food & Beverage Manager throughout events
- Assist the Catering & Events Manager with event prep and team training
- Lead the team during setup, service, and teardown
- Provide direct guest service, including serving, bussing, seating, and cashier duties
- Share menu knowledge and deliver friendly, professional service at all times
- Assist the bartender and help with restocking as needed
- Promote our sustainability culture by following recycling and composting procedures
- Take on additional tasks as required to support the team and ensure event success
Required Skills and Experience:
- Serving It Right (required); Food Safe Level 1 (asset)
- Supervisory experience in catering or food & beverage
- Serving and bartending experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and guest‑service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- POS experience (RTP an asset)
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Passionate about people, hospitality, and the outdoors
- Professional, friendly, and team‑focused
- A positive attitude and a drive to go above and beyond for guests
