Hours Per Week: 30-40 (weather and Guest visit depending)
Wage: $20.00/hour
+ peak season bonus of $1.50/hr for every hour worked between June 1 – Sept 18 *excluding overtime **less applicable taxes

Our productions cooks prepare product for daily service along with internal functions. In this role, our team members have the opportunity to learn new cooking styles and recipes. It requires a team player to enjoy this role, as you are the heart of the kitchen and will be setting up each food outlet for daily success.
All team members at Sea to Sky Gondola are expected to abide by and follow company policy, Provincial Health Orders and WorksafeBC requirements regarding Covid-19.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a strong leader in our kitchen team, including training, development and coaching of team members
- Train all team members on standard recipes and station guides
- Responsible the opening and closing of the kitchen and restaurant
- Prepare necessary food items, including baked good, as directed by the Executive Sous Chef and according to the Sea to Sky Gondola standards and recipes
- Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency
- Keep work stations clean and organized, including fridges/freezers, countertops, and stove tops
- Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
- Keep overproduction and food waste to a minimum to reduce food cost expense
- Operate all kitchen equipment with care and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with Food Safety guidelines
- Interact with gondola Guests in a positive and engaging manner
- Perform other duties as requested by the Sous Chef and other team members as required
- Assist in the ordering of all products
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar production role
- Food Safe Certificate
- Exceptional organizational skills
- High attention to detail and can multitask under pressure to meet deadlines
- Culinary certification/education an asset
- Mature, friendly, and well-groomed
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccinnation recommended
- Criminal record check required
