Is the Sea to Sky Gondola open year-round?

What are the hours of operation?

How long is the gondola ride?

The gondola ride is approximately 10 minutes from our base to the summit.

What is the elevation of the Summit Lodge?

Our Summit Lodge is located at 885m above Howe Sound.

Are dogs allowed on the gondola and Sea to Sky Gondola trails?

How many gondolas are there? Do I have to ride with other guests?

There are 30 gondolas that hold 8 passengers each. Parties with fewer than 8 people will be expected to combine with other groups to create full cabins.

Is the Sea to Sky Gondola wheelchair and stroller accessible?

Yes, the gondola cabins are wheelchair and stroller accessible. The Summit Lodge and viewing deck are also accessible (weather conditions permitting). Learn more about our committment to Accessibility at the Sea to Sky Gondola.

What is a Ride Down Only Ticket?

The Ride Down Only Ticket is for guests who would like to access our Summit Lodge and trail network by hiking to the top via our Sea to Summit Trail. Once at the top guests have the option of downloading on the gondola with a Ride Down Only Ticket for a much cheaper price than the regular Day Ticket. The Ride Down Only Ticket is only valid for one ride down the gondola. You can not ride up the gondola with this ticket.

Do you have a trail map for Sea to Sky Gondola trails?

Yes, we have paper trail maps available at our Basecamp Guest Services Desk.

Do you have a restaurant at the summit? And if so, do you accept private bookings?

Yes, we have both a cafeteria-style eatery and cafe located in the Summit Lodge. We accept private function bookings; please note we have an approximate maximum capacity of 100 people in the group/private space. Please review our Groups & Weddings page for more information.

Are drones allowed on the gondola and Sea to Sky Gondola trails?

For safety reasons drones are not allowed on the Sea to Sky Gondola property or summit tenure area.

Can you bring ski/snowboard equipment on the gondola with you?

Yes, during the winter months (conditions permitting), you are able to bring your ski/snowboard equipment up with you if have the appropriate backcountry gear with you. Please be aware of the avalanche danger and always check current avalanche conditions.

What is your smoking policy?

The Sea to Sky Gondola and the Summit Lodge are entirely smoke and vape free. We want a smoke free experience so all guests can enjoy the fresh air. No smoking or vaping is permitted on the grounds by any guest or team member. Especially in summer months we are on high alert for forest fires and smoking is strictly prohibited.
