AVALANCHE REPORT
The Sea to Sky Gondola has adopted a policy in which backcountry skis and snowboards will not be loaded on the gondola on days in which Avalanche Canada, in their public avalanche advisory, deems the zone known as 'South Coast' to be rated as 'high' or 'extreme'. Nordic skis will continue to be uploaded for use on the Backcountry Access Road from the gondola summit to Shannon Creek.

Snowshoeing | Easy travel conditions for snowshoeing. Summit area trails are open to snowshoeing. The three “snowshoe only” trails off Panorama are open, but please keep in mind that these trails are for snowshoes only and cannot be walked with boots. Nordic Skiing | Access road (5.0km return) was groomed this morning! Good for skate or classic style. For those wanting more of an uphill workout, Sky Pilot Valley trail is also groomed this morning. (3.0km return) Shannon creek bridge: Good condition for crossing. |

Spirit Trail | Trail is snow covered. The steeper sections between the bridge and Howe Sound lookout have been well covered with traction rock and are in good walking condition. Trail sections may be slippery without proper winter footwear or crampons. |
Panorama Trail | Good condition. Trail is snow covered. Walking will be on packed snow paths. Trail sections may be slippery without proper winter footwear or crampons. |
Wonderland Lake Loop | Good condition. Walking will be on packed snow paths. Trail sections may be slippery without without proper winter footwear or crampons. It is not safe to walk across the lake at this time. |

Sea to Summit Trail | Please watch for snow sloughing off steep angles, rocks and branches. Walking surface will range from no snow at base elevations to snow at the Summit lodge elevation. Snow on ground begins from approximately 600m level. Hikers must be prepared accordingly with appropriate gear for changing conditions as they gain elevation. Trail sections may be slippery without proper winter footwear. Shoe crampons or snowshoes advised depending on conditions. Check conditions before venturing. Allow plenty of time when travelling this trail as winter conditions often make the trail longer to walk. Also consider the short daylight hours. Always carry a headlamp and extra gear on this long and demanding trail. |
Al's Habrich Trail | Enter trail via winter route along access road. Walking will be on packed snow paths. Trail sections may be slippery without without proper winter footwear or crampons. Oleson creek crossing is in good condition with safety rope in place and stepping stones surfaces above water. |
Shannon Basin Loop | Walking will be on packed snow paths on the upper portions of the loop. Trail sections may be slippery without without proper winter footwear or crampons. Lower portion of loop trail has significantly less snow than upper section and may have exposed ground sections. Note that cellular reception is not dependable on this loop trail. |

Access Road | Good walking conditions. This trail is groomed every morning from Summit lodge to the Oleson creek bridge (2.5km), conditions permitting. This multi-use trail used by skiers, snowboarders, nordic skier, walkers and snowshoers. |
