Trail Conditions
Trail | Current Condition |
---|---|
Spirit Trail | No snow. Easy 10 min walk with great views of Howe Sound and Skypilot mountain. |
Panorama Trail | Trail is down to dirt with the exception of a few short sections of packed snow near the Chiefview platform. |
Wonderland Lake Loop | 50% covered in packed snow mostly at the boardwalk/lake level. |
Alpine Alley | Now open! |
Sea to Summit Trail & The Climb | Good hiking. Trail is free of snow. Hikers must be prepared with appropriate gear for changing conditions as they gain elevation. Trail sections may be slippery without proper footwear when wet or frozen. Allow plenty of time when travelling this trail. If this is your first time hiking Sea To Summit trail or The Climb, we recommend leaving before 11am. Always carry a headlamp and extra gear on this long and demanding trail. Be sure to carry sufficient water (one litre minimum). Note that cellular reception is not dependable on portions of this trail. |
Al's Habrich Trail | Winter conditions. Crampons (micro-spikes) or snowshoes strongly recommended. Mixture of exposed rock/dirt and deep snow. Summer route is now open for the season. |
Shannon Basin Loop | Note that cellular reception is not dependable on this loop trail. Expect snowy conditions at higher elevation portions of the trail on the south side of Shannon creek and exposed dirt sections in lower portions. Snowshoes or micro spikes recommended. |
Highline Trail | Now open! |
Clear of snow. Enjoy the old growth forest. | |
Neverland Loop Trail | Trail is brushy and somewhat overgrown. Winter conditions. Snowshoes or micro spikes (crampons) and winter footwear advised. |
Skyline RidgeTrail | The old logging road portion of trail was fully cleared of overgrown alder last spring. Much better winter hiking experience now along this beautiful, non-technical trail to the alpine region. Winter conditions, snowshoes recommended. |
Sky Pilot ValleyTrail | Good conditions to "end of marked trail" sign. Winter conditions on upper portion. Snowshoes or micro-spikes (crampons) recommended. |
Access Road | Dirt sections. No longer continous snow cover. Good for winter walking and backcountry skier/snowboarder access. |
