The Gondola - Your adventure starts with our 10 minute gondola ride to 885m above sea level. The ride up to our summit provides sweeping views of Howe Sound, the majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains. Every gondola cabin has a maximum capacity of 8 passengers and a level entrance/exit point, making them wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge - This feature is a must do for everyone who visits! The Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge is approximately 100 metres long and has a backdrop that falls away thousands of metres below, giving you a greater feeling of exposure and height over land. The suspension bridge offers amazing 360 degree views of the area, both up to the high alpine of the mountains above and down to the ocean below.
Viewing Platforms - While there are many different viewing points along all of our trails, we have three main viewing platforms which offer new and exciting views of the surrounding coastal mountains and the ocean below! All three of these viewing platforms are open year-round and are easily accessible regardless of your age and athletic ability.
Walking - There are three easily accessible walking trails that start right from the top of the Gondola. These gentle loops are filled with interpretive information that will take you on a culture journey through the history of the land.
Hiking - The Sea to Sky Corridor is fortunate to have some of the best hiking in the world and the Sea to Sky Gondola is right in the thick of it. The gondola provides access to a limitless amount of terrain for the novice and hard-core mountaineer alike. There are eight main hiking trails of varying range and difficulty. Via Ferrata - An exciting and unique climbing experience, a via ferrata is an engineered vertical adventure, assited by metal rungs and a specialized cable system. This exciting activity is suitable for children and families alike, and is a fully guided experience.
Snowshoeing (Winter Only) - The Sea to Sky Gondola region gets some of the deepest snow in North America and has a wide variety of terrain whether you are an experienced snowshoer or a first-timer. Our network of trails and roads offers a range of options - short or long, steep or flat... your choice. Experience snowshoeing as it was meant to be, quiet solitude, crisp mountain air, a snow laden forest, and breathtaking views. Please note, snowshoeing is weather dependent.
Winter Tube Park - Enjoy old-fashioned tubing at the Sea to Sky Gondola! Located adjacent to Wonderland Lake Loop trail, the tube park offers sliding fun for all ages. There will be four lanes of varying sliding levels. The tube park viewing deck is a great place to watch all of the action if you are not tubing. Close your day with a cup of hot chocolate in our Summit Lodge before boarding the gondola to return to the base. Please note, tubing is only open as weather permits.
Cost: $5 which includes tube rental and unlimited access within tube park hours. Slide down and walk up.
