Thinking about hiking this spring?

22 April, 2026

Both Sea to Summit and The Climb are dry, cool, and freshly maintained, making for excellent early-season hiking conditions.

How do the two hikes compare?

  • Sea to Summit: Longer, steady climb with mixed terrain and a Howe Sound viewpoint midway

  • The Climb: Shorter, steeper, and more intense with ropes, ladders, and scrambling from the start

Are these hikes suitable for beginners?

No, neither trail is beginner-friendly. Both require good fitness, and The Climb adds a technical element that makes it more demanding. Expect a solid leg burn either way.

Which hike should you choose?

  • Choose Sea to Summit if you want a long, scenic grind with varied terrain

  • Choose The Climb if you want a short, intense, technical push

Either way, you’re getting prime early-season hiking conditions!
