Get Rescue ReadyA Community Event Supporting Squamish SAR
28 April, 2026
Rescue Ready is a free, community mountain meetup supporting Squamish Search and Rescue. It’s an afternoon to connect, learn practical safety skills, and give back to the volunteers who keep our trails safe.
Why does this event matter?
Squamish Search and Rescue (SSAR) is a volunteer-led team that responds when people need help in the mountains, often in difficult conditions.
Organized in partnership with Helly Hansen, this event brings the community closer to that work, highlighting mountain safety while supporting the people behind it.
It’s a chance to:
Learn how to be more prepared outdoors
Meet the volunteers behind local rescues
Support SSAR through donations and prize draws
What can you expect?
Drop in at the Summit and explore interactive stations and live demos:
First aid basics
Stretcher carry experience
Navigation + communication tools
What’s in a SAR pack
A mini search scenario
Plus, giveaways from Helly Hansen throughout the afternoon.
Join us on Sunday, May 3 from 12PM–4PM at the Backyard Plaza (Summit). Free with lift ticket or membership. No registration required.
