Fire Safety at the Summit

02 August, 2018

There is a strict Zero Tolerance Policy" in effect at the Summit. "

There is currently an extreme forest fire danger rating in the Sea to Sky area. As a result, there is a strict ZERO TOLERANCE policy at the Sea to Sky Gondola for smoking or any type of fire.

On Sunday, July 29, the Operations Team found a fire on the knoll at the entrance to the Panorama Trail that was started the night before, likely by a cigarette that had smouldered overnight. We were extremely fortunate that it didn’t erupt. This serves as an extremely important reminder that there is absolutely zero tolerance for smoking at the summit. Any guest found to be smoking will be removed from the premises.
