The Shannon Basin Loop takes the Backcountry Access road then drops down on an old road bed that meanders down 3.2km to a bridge crossing over Shannon Creek. From there you can drop down to the Upper Sea to Summit Trail, loop east (turn right) to the Wrinkle Rock Trail (at 2.9km) or continue straight on across the bridge back up the west side of the creek to the Skyline Ridge Trail returning back to the Summit Lodge on the Backcountry Access road. This is a quintessential walk deep into the winter forest. Some views back along the Skyline Ridge/Backcountry Access road.
