It is recommended that you travel with a local certified guide when venturing into the backcountry.

Snowshoe Tour packages

We offer fun guided snowshoe tour packages. To get the lift, tour and rentals package
price, you must book in advance by calling 604 892-2551 or emailing
info [at] seatoskygondola [dot] com. Tour only and tour and rental packages can be
booked on-site on the day of your visit.

  • 1 x round-trip lift ticket
  • 1 x snowshoe rental
  • 1.5hr guided interpretive snowshoe tour with one of our Sea to Sky Gondola guides
  • Tours begin at 1:00pm
  • Prices: ADULT $71+taxes | YOUTH/CHILD (ages 8-18) $44+taxes
  • Tour only: ADULT $25+taxes | YOUTH/CHILD (ages 8-18) $20+taxes
  • Tour + Rentals: ADULT $39+taxes | YOUTH/CHILD (ages 8-18) $32

if you can walk, you can snowshoe! The tour will take you through a
majestic sub-alpine forest leading to a lookout platform above the
legendary Chief Mountain, Howe Sound, and the Squamish Valley. Your
guide will offer commentary along the way about nature, local history,
First Nations, the Howe Sound and local mountains. Full payment is
required upon booking. Cancellation policy: We require a minimum of 24
hours notice to cancel for full refund. No refunds will be issued for
cancellations within 24 hours of tour time.

Backcountry Guiding Services

The backcountry terrain accessed via the Sea to Sky Gondola is rugged and unpredictable. It means that there are hazards of all kinds from dangerous cliffs and talus fields, to terrain traps, avalanches, falling trees, rushing rivers, gullies/ravines, wild animals and other unforeseen dangers that can create real danger to an unprepared, unskilled and unfamiliar

Travelling with a certified guide is highly recommended for both backcountry snowshoeing and skiing accessed via the gondola.
