We have been fortunate to have some amazing groups of people that have helped us create this attraction. Frankly, too many to name everyone. But a few key partners that have really been exceptional are:
Squamish First Nations - With a history of over 10,000 years living here in southwestern British Columbia, their support for the project has been a huge inspiration. Their history, heritage, mythology, and philosophy are a part of the land and the place that is Sea to Sky country.
Doppelmayr Lift Systems - The world's prominent lift manufacturer have given us their best. A state-of-the-art gondola system for transporting guests comfortably, safely and quietly to the inaccessible.
BC Parks - Clearly one of the premier park systems anywhere in the world we are incredibly lucky to have this resource. The Sea to Sky Gondola is surrounded on two sides by Stawamus Chief Provincial Park. In addition, the bottom portion of the gondola lift line passes over and thru the park via a protected area corridor. By working collaboratively with BC Parks, the Sea to Sky Gondola team has enhanced the visitor experience through the development of trails and other amenities.
The goal of the project has always been to add to the existing park experience by providing facilities adjacent to the park such as washrooms, additional trails extending from existing park trails, additional parking etc.
The map below shows the relationship of the park boundary to the Sea to Sky Gondola and its trail systems.
