The Squamish community is invited to learn about a new proposal to build a key piece of tourism infrastructure in Squamish that would drive economic growth and create jobs through expansion of the town's tourism sector, and further solidify Squamish as the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada.
The proposed Sea to Sky Gondola would provide accessible transportation to 2,700 feet above the majestic Howe Sound on a routing up towards Mount Habrich between Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief.
A catalyst for Squamish’s continued economic growth, creating jobs IN Squamish, and spurring new tourism investment opportunities.
Access for everyone to a stunning mountain top location, offering a variety of experiences and extraordinary views of Howe Sound, Mount Garibaldi and Sky Pilot Mountain.
Throughout the process, the project team plans to engage in a widespread community outreach campaign to communicate the vision and move through the various stages of approval.
Public input from the Squamish community and special interest groups is an important part of this collaborative process.
